Chamber Music Recital by Latin American Composers
Sheri Falcone, clarinet; Denise Rowan, bassoon and Rosangela Sebba, piano will collaborate with University of Alabama professor Rachel Frederiksen, bassoon in performances of Chamber Music Works by Underrepresented Latin American Composers. Both performances are free to the audience and will happen at UA on Tuesday, May 9th at 5:30pm in the Moody Music Building Concert Hall and Thursday, May 11th at 6:00pm at MSU Lecture-Recital Hall. The concerts will features works by Brazilian composers: Francisco Mignone, Ernesto Nazareth, Chiquinha Gonzaga and Heitor Villa-Lobos, as well as Argentinian composer Astor Piazzola and Cuban composer Paquito de'Rivera. This project was made possible by an SEC Faculty Travel Grant.
