Jason Baker Publishes Ragtime Arrangements
MSU Professor of Music Jason Baker published three new works with Ox and Lamb Publications of Lexington, KY. His three arrangements of William Nassan’s “Connecticut March” (1910) are scored for xylophone soloist with the option of percussion ensemble, brass quartet, and concert band accompaniment. A native of Connecticut, Jason developed these editions from a piano score he found in the Templeton Ragtime Museum, located in the MSU Mitchell Memorial Library.
