While music majors are expected to specialize on one instrument or voice-type, many of our students take additional private music lessons in areas outside their expertise. Contact an appropriate member of our faculty to set up lessons.

A music degree can be completed in 4 years, with diligent work and passing grades. Many music education majors take 5 years to complete their degree, but it is possible in 4.
There are a large variety of vocal and instrumental ensembles.
Ensemble service awards and scholarships (ranging from $250-$2000 per year) are based solely on the level of your audition. The University offers additional financial awards and assistance based on academic performance and test scores. Be sure to apply for admission in time to be considered for all University scholarships.

Yes! Private lessons are available to non-majors as well as music majors. You may also participate in ensembles, and may be eligible for a service award for performing with one of the University ensembles.
